Bergamot, incense and violet open Al Majed Oud Boisée in an unusual mix of bright citrus, smoky resin and powdery petal. The heart deepens with rose, leather and cypress. Rose is classic and slightly fruity, leather supple and dry, and cypress adds a green, resinous, almost pine-like freshness that keeps the middle from feeling heavy.
Musk, patchouli and cedarwood underpin everything. Musk provides softness, patchouli earthy depth, and cedarwood a dry, clean wood. As the name hints, the woods dominate the finish. This is an extrait de parfum, and the list reads as smoky, floral and woody in roughly equal measure.
