Bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper make a zesty, sparkling opening for Al Majed Oud Sea. Caramel, pineapple and sage follow, an unusual trio: caramel is sweet and toasty, pineapple tropical and tangy, and sage herbal and dry. That middle layer is the most distinctive part, with sweetness and herbs pulling in different directions.
The base brings together oakmoss, wood, vetiver and patchouli. Oakmoss is damp, green and forest-like, vetiver earthy and grassy, patchouli dark and soil-like, and wood adds a dry, general backbone. The finish is green and earthy, a clear contrast to the fruit and caramel above it.
