How does Al Majed Oud Night Oud smell?
Elemi and mandarin start Al Majed Oud Night Oud. Elemi is a fresh, lemony, slightly peppery resin, and mandarin is soft and sweet, so the opening is bright and a little resinous. The heart uses Egyptian geranium and rose, giving a green, minty-rosy leaf note alongside a fuller petal sweetness.
Six notes share the base: musk, oud, sandalwood, cedarwood, leather and tonka bean. Oud and cedarwood are dark and woody, sandalwood creamy, leather dry and supple, musk soft, and tonka bean sweet with a hint of almond. It is a dense, woody base, warmed by tonka, under a bright, green-floral front.
